About ESTA
ESTA is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies and it partners with the agencies to improve service delivery to the community. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES and manages the provision of advanced, operational communications for police, ambulance, fire services and the SES. Its vision is to be a high-performing team trusted by the community and our partners to deliver the right emergency response. And its central goal is to save lives and prevent harm through speed and accuracy in emergency operations.
About the role
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager is a key and active participant of the People and Capability team.
The goal of the team is to provide for a high-performing organisation and a valued people experience with a focus on being safe and well, connected by purpose, and by having careers that make a difference.
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager is a member of the People and Capability leadership team and will be required to coordinate and undertake a range of often complex, technical or sensitive, strategic and operational activities involving strategy development, research, analysis, stakeholder management and communication.
The role is responsible for overseeing the development, delivery and evaluation of ESTA's mental health plan initiatives and for the governance, monitoring, and reporting of mental health and psychological service delivery. The position also oversees the implementation of the mental health and psychology service delivery model processes and procedures.
The managerial and advisory aspects of this role will encompass several important functions and provide strategic support and authoritative advice to the Executive Director working in tandem with the Head of Wellbeing.
Key to success will be the ability to be both strategic and “hands-on” to deliver practical and tangible outcomes that make a difference for our people and lift our mental health safety culture maturity.
