About the role

Reporting to the Product owner Networking, the role of Senior Network Engineer is to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimise our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture.

Key accountabilities

  • As subject matter expert either individually or as part of a team, scope, design and provide capacity support for ESTA IT network infrastructure
  • Either individually or as part of a team provide network design and review services in relation to ESTA corporate and call taking and dispatch environments
  • Participate in the delivery of change into the ESTA IT infrastructure and network environments
  • Assist with ESTA's market procurement process for managing network assets across their lifecycle
  • Create network documentation to support change and knowledge transfer
  • Share knowledge in order to build technical skills of others
  • Analyse problems within the IT environment and provide options on resolution

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following:

  • A Tertiary qualification in IT related studies or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in routing protocol operation, configuration, and troubleshooting (mainly BGP, OSPF and EIGRP)
  • Sound knowledge of security technical protocols, policies and process. Able to install and maintain security infrastructure of CISCO ASA5500's, firewalls, IOS Firewalls
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding in change management, continuous improvement, and delivery implementation
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with capacity to assess and resolve technical issues and initiate improvements
  • A strong ability to manage conflicting technical system demands from identification through to resolution
  • The successful applicant must satisfy the National Police Records Check standard that includes fingerprinting.
