About ESTA

ESTA is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies and it partners with the agencies to improve service delivery to the community. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES and manages the provision of advanced, operational communications for police, ambulance, fire services and the SES.  Its vision is to be a high-performing team trusted by the community and our partners to deliver the right emergency response. And its central goal is to save lives and prevent harm through speed and accuracy in emergency operations.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the People and Culture team to lead organisation wide recruitment processes, advising people managers on selection decisions aligned to ESTA's vision. This role also provides advice on ESTA's people programs and processes at various lifecycle touch points including on-boarding, induction, probation review, performance development review, secondments, promotions, internal movements, people benefits, recognition and reward and exit processes.

The challenge and variety of this role will come from:

  • Facilitating end to end recruitment campaigns including leading assessment centres for Triple Zero Call-Takers
  • Design innovative attraction and selection campaigns with a growing emphasis on social media
  • Driving contemporary enhancements to ESTA's recruitment approach and supporting processes
  • Advising on ESTA's people processes including on-boarding and exits from the organisation

You will be:

  • A high-achieving experienced internal recruiter from a corporate environment
  • Able to demonstrate success in tailoring recruitment solutions to support the attraction and selection of talent  
  • Customer focused with excellent relationship building skills and written communication skills.
  • Experienced using a range of recruitment support tools including job analysis frameworks, capability frameworks and psychometric testing, interpreting and providing advice to people managers on selection decisions
  • Results driven with a high level of initiative and accountability in a busy environment
  • Committed to continuous improvement and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and resourceful to keep deliverables on track
