About ESTA

ESTA is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies and it partners with the agencies to improve service delivery to the community. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES and manages the provision of advanced, operational communications for police, ambulance, fire services and the SES.  Its vision is to be a high-performing team trusted by the community and our partners to deliver the right emergency response and its central goal is to save lives and prevent harm through speed and accuracy in emergency operations.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the People and Culture team in the role of Talent and People Services Lead.  The key focus of this role is the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of ESTA's organisation-wide people programs, processes and systems which support touch points in the employee lifecycle.  The role is customer service driven and builds trusted relationships to deliver impactful and integrated people programs.

The challenge and variety from this role will come from:

  • Expertly leading the end to end transaction life cycle of people services
  • Driving contemporary enhancements to our recruitment approach and supporting processes
  • Design and lead an enterprise approach to talent management
  • Job analysis and design – working with managers to ensure tailored campaigns match their current and future resourcing requirements aligned to ESTA strategic goals
  • Managing ESTA wide people programs

You will have:

  • Experience in a progressive talent acquisition role exposed to contemporary HR practices
  • Results driven with a high level of initiative and accountability in a busy environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder relations skills and high ability to influence people in complex environments
  • Committed to continuous improvement, developing innovative ways to introduce process and system improvements
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and resourceful to keep deliverables on track in a fast paced environment
  • Process-minded with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor degree qualification or equivalent experience.  Post graduate and management qualifications are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success leading innovative recruitment and selection campaigns, including assessment centres and large scale recruitment campaigns
